How to choose the right weekly planner

Horizontal or vertical layout?
A horizontal weekly planner gives each day its own row across the spread. It's perfect if you like to write notes, to-do lists and reminders. A vertical weekly planner stacks the days in columns, often with hourly time slots, so it's easier to schedule meetings and appointments. Both give you a week-at-a-glance view, so pick the one that fits how you like to plan.

Which size is right for you?
A5 (about 5.8 × 8.3 in) is the all-rounder. It has plenty of room for a busy week and still fits in your bag. A6 and pocket sizes (about 4.1 × 5.8 in) are small weekly planners that go everywhere with you. B5 (about 6.9 × 9.8 in) and A4 (about 8.3 × 11.7 in) give you the most writing space, ideal for your desk at home or at the office.

Dated, academic or undated?

Tips for planning a better week

Set your top three. Mark the three things that matter most this week, then build the rest of your weekly agenda around them.

Color-code your week. Use one color for work, one for home and one for appointments, and your spread is easy to read at a glance.

Review on Friday. Move unfinished tasks to next week so nothing slips through the cracks.
